  • In this CNBC article, the conglomeration of the tech world and the fashion industry resulting in wearable technology is discussed. Social Media Week, held in Manhattan, took the reigns and joined these two prominent aspects of everyday life. A line consisting of a 3-D suit, fiber optic umbrella, a phone-tracking bag and 3-D nails were all showcased at the Wearable Tech Fashion Show.

  • Jennie Rodriguez-Moore of Recordnet, describes the role social media has taken on for Melissa Flores’ clothing store, Remedy. Flores emphasized that posting pictures of new apparel to the store’s Facebook has spiked sales because customers will comment on the picture saying, “Please hold for me!” The online fashion presence is becoming more competitive; therefore, Flores took this helpful approach just as other businesses are catching onto.

  • Reported on the Periscope Post, this year Ebay purchased a new online model creator based off of customers providing their measurements. This program, PhiSix, allows customers to see how clothing will fit on their body by creating a model of their stature.
